Leicester Tigers – Successfully Raised £3m in Loan Notes through a joint venture with Cenkos, Guernsey in September 2009. In April 2011 a further £4.4m was raised through a Loan Note Issue and an Ordinary share issue.
Vartan & Son, in a joint venture with Cenkos Guernsey, successfully raised £3m via a Convertible Loan Note Issue in September
2009 for the redevelopment of Leicester Tigers’ stadium at Welford Road. The £3 million raised has enabled The Tigers to fund a
new conference suite within the new Caterpillar Stand. The Convertible Loan Note Issue yields 7% gross per annum. In April 2011
in a further joint venture with Cenkos Guernsey, successfully raised £4.4m through a Convertible Loan Note Issue and Ordinary
Share Issue. The latest fundraising venture goes towards building a multi-storey car park and the upgrade of the changing rooms and
medical facilities. This unique opportunity provided an exciting investment into one of the leading rugby clubs in the world. The
Tigers are the most successful rugby team in the UK and Europe having won the domestic league seven times, more than anyone
else, and the European Cup twice and have a large loyal and passionate fan base in the UK. The Tigers have increased the stadium
capacity up to 23,500 from 17,500 and in addition the stadium’s function rooms and bars will be let out to businesses and
individuals in order to produce additional revenue streams.
