History
In October 1993, Andrew & John reached the decision to create the new Partnership of
Vartan & Son with the specific aim of establishing a stockbroking partnership which
could produce, for a limited number of high net worth clients, an above average level
of personal service. Clients can therefore be sure that they can always speak with an
experienced member of the Firm and one who has knowledge of their own particular
requirements.
At the outset, the Partnership was fortunate to obtain superb offices located in the Precincts of Peterborough Cathedral but, although the offices may be 14th century, the systems that have been installed are very much of the 21st century.
The Partnership was formed under the Model B category, whereby no cash or share certificates are held or retained within the office, and all of the administration and settlement services are completed by Pershing Limited in London, Pershing also hold all client money and stocks. By taking this route, the Partnership has been able to rid itself of a costly back office and this, in turn, has enabled the Partners and Fund Managers to spend more time looking after their clients.
